How can you help?  NW Santa has many opportunities for you to join us.  We have a need for all levels of talents and commitment.

We have a need each year to procure gifts for over 1000 children.  This is quite the task.  We accept unwrapped new toys or cash or gift cards to buy them.  We have especially a difficult time getting toys for the youngest and oldest children.  Toys do not need to be expensive or large.  Every child likes receiving a gift.  Mostly only adults place a value on a gift.

NW Santa is always in need of new Santa suits, beards, elf costumes and general costuming garments.

Each season we prepare for Santa’s tour by wrapping presents for over 1000 children.  We always need wrapping paper, tape and tags.  And of course, we need people to help wrap.  Each year we hold a wrapping party and potluck several days before Christmas.  If you are interested in attending, contact us at santa@nwsanta.org

And always the big question everyone asks.  Can I be Santa?  Needless to say this is the “big league” when it comes to helping out.  We are very careful who we put in public representing Saint Nick.  The logistics behind NW Santa can get complicated.  We have what we call Santa Teams.  A Santa Team consists of Santa, a helper elf and a driver.  We generally need between 6-8 teams each night.  Each team is a finely tuned machine.  We even have an informal “Santa Handbook” to show new volunteers the ropes.  If you are interested in helping with this aspect, we have a few processes to follow.  First, you will need to pass a WA State Police background check.  You will need to meet with us to discuss your desire to help.  And finally you will likely be placed on a team with experienced volunteers for one season.  Most of our volunteers come back year after year.  Contact us at santa@nwsanta.org if you would like more details.
